Wading in the river, picking lotus flowers.
Over the marsh nearby, fragrant grass grows over.
To whom shall I send these flowers?
In a distant place stands my deeply-missed lover.
At our long-lost home he gazes,
the road stretchs miles and miles away.
Two loving hearts shared but we are apart,
in sorrow I'll be drowned till my dying days.
